Home Current Activities Doctor Who Blue Peter Peter In Sport With Animals In the Theatre Full CV Conatact

Peter's current and upcoming activities continue to reflect his versatility and breadth of experience.

2004 has started well, and looks like being another busy year for Peter, with several TV appearances already, and others lined up, together with a further expansion of his presentation skills training company, Expertise.

Add to this his regular appearances at All About Dogs (May, Brentwood); The Royal Bath and West of England Show (June, Shepton Mallett); The Royal Show (July, Stoneleigh); numerous charity events; the launch of a government initiative (Stop Chain and Check); coupled with his work on the Board of The New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich, then the opportunities to play golf seem to get fewer and fewer! Notwithstanding, Peter is again organising the New Wolsey Theatre Golf Day at Seckford Golf Club, near Ipswich (see below).
Of course, Peter continues with his regular work for the BBC at Cruft's, the world's biggest and greatest Dog Show. 26 years ago Peter made his first appearance there, when the sport of Agility was introduced at the show for the first time. Now, the Agility and Flyball finals are among the highlights of the final few hours in the main arena at the show, immediately preceding the judging of Best in Show. "It is one of my favourite weeks of the year," says Peter.
Dick Whittington Peter has just been engaged by Qdos to direct Dick Whittington at the Opera House, Manchester this coming Xmas. The show will star The Chuckle Brothers, the third consecutive year that he has been teamed with the children's comedy favourites. Jeffrey Holland (Hi-de-Hi) will co-star.
Prior to that, in November, Peter will be attending a big Doctor Who extravaganza in America - Chicago Tardis. More on www.chicagotardis.com.
The Expertise side of the business continues to grow, further cementing ties with Sales InterAction from Hertfordshire. Peter has spent time training young doctors, especially research doctors, in developing their speaking and presentation skills. These courses were sponsored by Aventis.

He manages to find the time to play golf once a week, and plays off a respectable 18 handicap at Seckford GC near Woodbridge in Suffolk. He organised the second New Wolsey Theatre Golf Day which took place on Sunday April 18th and several stars of stage and screen played - John Bardon, Derek Martin and Ian Lavender from Eastenders, comedian Roger de Courcey (who won the individual prize), Larry Dann, Roger Kitter, Jack Chissick, Jess and Renee Conrad, and Roy Holder. The weather was appalling but by the time dinner and prize-giving was over, that was forgotten, and the celeb’s left with smiles on their faces. Once again "Seckford GC generously gave us the course and all facilities for the day," says Peter, "and we couldn't make any money from the event without their strong support, and that of two local hotels, Seckford Hall and Novotel Ipswich, who both gave us accommodation for the stars. It is all for a very good cause - to raise money for the New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich, and I am looking forward now to an even bigger event in 2005".

Peter remains the President of the Canine Supporters Charity; President of The Rugby Animal Trust; and is vice patron of Dogs for the Disabled, and of Age Concern, Suffolk.
